Colbie Caillat
Tue, August 10 - Tue, August 10 , 8:00 PM
Buy Tickets: $28-$59 / $30-$61 Day of Show
FTC Members: $5-$10 Discount
Doors Open at 7:00 PM
With the young Colbie Caillat at the Klein, you get a Grammy winning singer and songwriter, as well as a gifted guitarist and collaborator. Moving beyond her duet with Jason Mraz on "Lucky" and her songwriting on Taylor Swift's Fearless, Colbie's latest album Breakthrough is just that.
Later this year, a third album could amplify her good fortune even more. Born in Malibu, her father produced Fleetwood Mac's Rumours and Tusk and she began by writing techno music for fashion shows. Colbie's skill, her assortment of accolades and her "Bubbly" personality make for a rising pop singer like no other.
"The industry pros serve to sweeten, not change, Caillat's sound, which results in a richly textured album, not just a collection of radio-baiting singles, that retains the performer's personality." - PopMatters.com
"Brimming with late summery charms." - Q Magazine
Beatles Tribute!
The Fab Faux
Sat, September 11 - Sat, September 11 , 7:30 PM
Buy Tickets: $50-$80 / Day of: $50-$82
FTC Members: $10 Discount
Doors Open at 7:00 PM
This is part of a special weekend long event celebrating the reunion of the Roger Ludlowe High School Classes of 1960-1969. Ticket availability will be restricted to FTC members and registered participants of the alumni event until further notice.
The Fab Faux are without a doubt the most musically satisfying Beatles tribute band on the scene today.
Boasting the high visibility of TV star/musicians Will Lee from The Late Show with David Letterman and Jimmy Vivino from Late Night with Conan O'Brien, this is the band to see if you want to know what it might have been like if The Beatles toured behind their later albums.
With a full horn and string section, The Fab Faux don't just play the easy stuff, they flawlessly recreate songs the Beatles themselves never performed live. Even if you were lucky enough to see the Beatles live, this will be something different -- the equivalent of the later Beatles concert that never was.
So, for Beatles fans (and music fans), the choice is clear: If you want to hear songs recreated that were written, arranged, and performed with a genius and talent sadly missing from today's music scene; if you're too young to remember what all the fuss was about; or if you just want to see one of the best live rock bands performing today, look no further than The Fab Faux...

Ed Kowalczyk of Live
Fri, October 01 - Fri, October 01 , 8:00 PM
Buy Tickets: $28-$35 / $30-$37 day of show
FTC Members: $5 Discount
Doors Open at 7:00 PM
Even though the popular and powerful rock band "Live" recently disbanded, its lead singer and main songwriter Ed Kowalczyk has been hard at work on Alive, his first solo album, released this month. Known for his fiery vocals and enormous stage presence, Kowalczyk helped define the post-grunge alternative rock sound with Live. His enormous voice sparks early '90s nostalgia and that.."s all right by us. We can only hope the Klein will be big enough for this show.
"Taking this album as both a first time listener and as a fan of Ed Kowalczyk's previous work, it stands to reason why he has had so much success in the past. His song writing ability appears so effortless." - Hangout.Altsounds.com

Touching base with us once before for a killer Klein show, they.."re finally coming back for more. And so we welcome the reincarnated Doobie Brothers back for a nostalgic ride into the past -- but also the future, with plans to release their new album World Gone Crazy this fall, produced by long-time Doobie producer Ted Templeman. For the new songs, the oldies and a general feeling of carefree summery joy (in November), come out to the Klein and experience real classic rock.
